Trip to Branson, Missouri Oct 2017

Our trip to Branson lasted 28 days. We were within 2 miles of Silver Dollar City from our campground. We went to Silver Dollar City about 4 or 5 days and managed to see all the shows there. We decided to get season passes so we could go as many times as we wanted. They were closed on Monday and Tuesday so we enjoyed some of the other things to do in Branson. We went on the Showboat, Branson Belle. We were provided with a great meal and enjoyable entertainment while cruising Table Rock Lake. Well worth the money. We also saw Acrobats of China but were a little disappointed, think we picked out the wrong acrobats to go see. One Sunday we went to see Hamner’s Variety Show. We had to leave this campground after 14 days and proceeded to another one about 20 minutes from downtown Branson. We spent our time relaxing, walking, bicycling and enjoying the view of the lake. We also went garage saleing and flea marketing. We had a great time. While at Silver Dollar City I got to meet Buck Taylor, Newly from Gunsmoke, and had my picture made with him. Charlie talked to him about James Arness, Marshal Dillon,  and Ken Curtis, Festus from Gunsmoke. He is a very good artist. We bought two of his prints and he autographed them for us.We took a neat tour through Marvel Falls Cavern.
