One of our pretty house finch
Category: Front yard birds
birds in our front yard and maybe a few other places
Indigo Bunting
We saw a couple of these today, but were not able to get a good picture but they are really beautiful. Maybe we will get a photo soon.
Red-bellied Woodpecker
We like seeing these and we hate seeing these. For the most part they don’t bother our log house but sometimes we have to run them off. This one is enjoying the suet feeder.
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
This is a male, we saw a female in April 2019. We don’t see a lot of them. He sounds like a Robin
Nature’s Beautiful Colors
Gold Finch getting ready for summer with his new colors
Pileated Woodpecker
Mr. Woody came by to see us. We have seen these before, but it is always a treat.
Mourning Dove
We’ve seen these from the being, however I thought they were morning doves because they like the morning. I did not know they were sad. F5.6 1/200 ISO 400
Northern Cardinal
This is a good example of the many cardinals that come by to see us. I’m trying to get a picture of a male and female together maybe this summer. F7.1 1/500 ISO400
American Goldfinch
This photo was taken 02-18-2022 although we have seen them from when we moved here. This is a male in the winter time. They get really yellow in the summer. We see a lot of these little guys. F8 1/640 ISO400
Rufous Hummingbird
